A curriculum for forming our children

Forming our children in our Catholic faith through the lens of St. John Paul II’s life-affirming Theology of the Body (TOB). The Body Matters is a teaching tool intended to assist primary educators (parents) and faith formation programs in forming their children. With this TOB lens, children will be equipped to combat commmon, destructive messages concerning the lack of purpose and meaning of our bodies, especially our bodies as created male and female, precisely through a deeper, Catholic understanding of the human BODY. The Body Matters presents Saint John Paul’s teachings on the body rendered in language accessible to children, with beautiful illustrations,  practical examples, and faithful Catholic catechesis.

Prompted by a call to change our culture

In November 2015, TOBET’s Episcopal Advisory Board, led by Archbishop Samuel Aquila, confirmed the need to create an original, inspiring, age-appropriate TOB program. Schools, educators, and parents have expressed the ever growing need for the truth of the body to be comunicated to their children. TOBET presents The Body Matters curriculum as a tool to combat our current culture with the positive message of TOB.

With over 20 years of teaching and catechetical experience, Monica Ashour, M.T.S., M Hum. has built a team of experts in childhood development, children’s literature, graphic design, and curriculum expertise, that has made possible the achievement of its groundbreaking program, The Body Matters.

TOBET’s The Body Matters is being used now in schools, parishes, and homes across the United States and is also gaining international recognition in Canada, Australia, Columbia, Vietnam, and the Philippines. The entire program will soon available for purchase in Spanish in the United States.
